Regardless of what we do, Nature continues to love us. Let us, therefore, respect & understand what Nature teaches us

Manuscript Found In Accra ~ Paulo Coelho

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected.

“Unleashing The Healing Power Of Animals !!”

Animal Assisted Therapy SPECIALISTS (also known as Pet Therapy)

Welcome to the world of Critter Assisted Therapy – the home of Critterish Allsorts‘ pioneering, multi award winning, Animal Assisted Therapy Practice – respected worldwide and reported worldwide in the media.

Our mission : “To make Animal Assisted Therapy, and the healing power of animals, an accepted, recognised, mainstream & prescribed treatment for mental well being and other health issues”  To this end, in July 2016, I was invited to address the National Conference for Autism in London, where I was able to discuss the subject with mental health professionals from all over the UK.

In March 2011, Critterish Allsorts began providing Animal Assisted Therapy (Pet Therapy) services to private secure psychiatric hospitals. This is where my passion for Animal Assisted Therapy started. Facilitating sessions for patients with our animals, we worked alongside psychotherapists, psychologists and occupational therapists,  to make a difference to the mental well being of patients suffering from disorders such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, paranoia etc. Such were the results that we now have long contracts with many psychiatric hospitals, in both public & private sectors. We also work with prisons, children & baby hospices, hospitals, schools, care homes and individuals helping with a range of issues from animal phobias to mobility; behavioural issues to self esteem; mental health issues of every kind from self harm to paranoid schizophrenia; and much much more.

From this work, I have developed a personal desire to help raise awareness of mental health issues and disassociate the stigma associated with them. I have a determination and commitment to help as many people as possible with mental health issues, improve their mental well being, through animal interventions.

I truly believe in the healing power of all animals, and that animal assisted therapy works ~ my personal goal is to prove this through my work, in order to achieve our stated mission. I am a qualified Animal Assisted Therapy Practitioner, based in Worcestershire in the UK, using various therapeutic techniques combined with animal interventions (from our very wide range of available therapy animals), to improve your emotional and mental well being.

Take time to explore the world of Critter Assisted Therapy, and see the critters waiting to help you!!
