Orange Baboon Tarantula – PET ONLY

Info : Our 3 “visiting” tarantulas are gentle mild-mannered species  – another form of insect therapy, which is great for autistic spectrum clients and those with phobias. Overcoming a phobia can increase self esteem substantially and demonstrate that other things, that may have been out of reach, are also obtainable.

Benefits : Tarantulas are great insect therapy, especially for those within the autistic spectrum. They are very complex, technical and heavily detailed critters, that can be linked in with other activities in terms of research and art. Through phobia release, they can have benefits to self esteem and confidence

A quick word about the erm….Orange Bitey Thing…These are NOT a mild mannered specie. An old world species with a potent venom, resulting in a VERY painful bite, they are naturally aggressive, often biting without warning. They are also incredibly quick (sometimes referred to as Orange Bitey Transporters, as they appear to move from one place to another without moving, they are THAT quick). Hopefully this explains why she does not go out on visits. She came with the other 3 tarantulas as part of the group being rehomed – we weren’t going to leave her out!
